Africa-Press – Eswatini. The International Convention Centre and Five Star Hotel (ICC&FISH) is His Majesty King Mswati III’s 26-year old dream. His Majesty made this revelation on April 26, 2026 when officially opening the ICC, a historic event attended by regional leaders such as King Letsie III of Lesotho, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, former Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) President Joseph Kabila, former Botswana President Ian Khama and former South African President Jacob Zuma among others.

The King was relating to present head of states and the nation on how the ICC&FISH, which only started as a dream came to a reality development achievement of the country during a Grand Dinner shortly after touring and officially opening the ICC state-of-the-art facility.

Present during the function was Her Majesty the Indlovukazi, Emakhosikati, Emazinyane, members of the royal family, ambassadors, parliamentarians senior government officials and distinguished guests among many others.

“This is a dream that came about in the year 2000. It is not a new dream. The journey has not been easy but with resilience and help from God, it eventually came to reality,” said the King.

His Majesty King Mswati III, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, His Majesty King Letsie III of Lesotho, former President of Botswana Ian Khama, and other distinguished dignitaries had the opportunity to watch live performances at the theatre inside the International Convention Centre during its official opening.

Senator Chief Prince Mphatfwa, Senator Linda Nxumalo, Minister of Public Works Chief Ndlaluhlaza, Chairman of the Civil Service Commission Simanga Mamba, and Princess Lindiwe were among those present during the official opening of the International Convention Centre by His Majesty King Mswati III.

It is worth to note that His Majesty King Mswati III toured a high end display of luxury vehicles at the International Convention Centre, where elite brands such as Rolls Royce, Maybach, Porsche, McLaren and BMW dominated the packed Royal Signature Expo in Ezulwini.

It was evident that the ICC had been transformed into a world of glitz and glam as the Kingdom’s elite and international guests arrived in high fashion for the historic proceedings. The atmosphere was electric with sophisticated style, perfectly complementing the architectural grandeur of Eswatini’s new crown jewel.

Innovation was the centre of attraction as a cutting-edge robot captivated onlookers at the official opening of the ICC, offering a thrilling glimpse into the future of technology in Eswatini. As His Majesty King Mswati III prepared to formally open the facility, the mechanical marvel served as a standout attraction at the Royal Signature Expo.
