The film was shot in Malkerns, with St Anne’s High School being one of the key locations, reflecting the film’s focus on the lives of students.
In partnership with Lingedla Pictures and African Empire Studios, Mangobe Studios has delivered a film that resonates with both the Swazi nation and a global audience. The Director of the film is Vusi Langa, known for his previous works including Buciko benhlitiyo, Imphilo yemadvodza ayipheli, and Umelaphi. Nobuhle features a 100% EmaSwati cast and crew, highlighting local talent in front of and behind the camera. The film tackles significant themes, notably drug abuse and rape, particularly relevant to the youth, as the story revolves around scholars.
The film was released yesterday (April 1, 2025) through the Mangobe Films Production YouTube channel, the director, Vusi Langa, expressed his gratitude for the collaborative spirit of the team. He stated: “I am very pleased and blessed to work with such a great team of experienced and inexperienced crew where the experienced ones help the others to gain more experience. Since the goal is to grow the production house and raise the flag of ESWATINI, but also to produce the best actors and actresses in the country.”
