Africa-Press – Eswatini. Standard Bank continues to invest hugely in sport as they are leading the sponsors of the annual Imbube Marathon with E350 000 sponsorship.
The sponsors were unveiled on Thursday 9April 10, 2025) during the launch of the seventh edition of the Imbube Marathon held at Happy Valley Hotel. Standard Bank Chief Executive Mvuselelo Fakudze presented the cheque to the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Phila Buthelezi and Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Futhi Tembe.
Other sponsors included Old Mutual who increased their sponsorship from E75 000 to E100 000 for the 2025 edition. Premier pumped in E100 000 while Oshee (Sport and Vitamin drinks) will folk out E150 000 while Unifoods sponsored the event to the tune of E50 000.
The Imbube Marathon will be held on Saturday October 18, 2025, starting and finishing at Somhlolo National Stadium.
ENPF CEO Futhi Tembe said their doors were still open for more sponsors to come on board.
The event will comprise of four events with being the 42km, 21km, 10km and 3.3km. Athletes will pay E325 for the 42km, E285 for the 21km, E260 for the 10km and it is free for the 3.3km.
Registration is already open for the event that is set to attract international athletes. Early registration ends on June 30, 2025 with a penalty of E50 set to be included.

Late Registration: September 1 – October 3, 2025 (E100 price penalty)
