Africa-Press – Eswatini. Government has stepped in to support the burial of two young children whose lifeless bodies were discovered inside a parked car in Gobholo, Mbabane. The tragic incident has touched the hearts of many, and government’s response reflects a commitment to compassion and care for the nation’s most vulnerable.

Through the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, government is ensuring that the children receive a dignified and decent send-off. This support includes the provision of food and essential services to the grieving family during this difficult time.

In addition to material support, government is also offering counselling services to help the family cope with the emotional impact of their loss. Social workers have been deployed to provide psycho-social assistance, particularly for the children’s mother.

During the family visit, it was discovered that neither the mother nor the children were registered in the country’s population database. The Ministry of Home Affairs responded swiftly by issuing a birth certificate and national ID for the mother, as well as death certificates for the children.

Government has extended heartfelt thanks to the Gobholo community for their collective efforts in searching for the children. “May this spirit of unity spread to the rest of the country,” reads the official statement by Acting Government Spokesperson Thabile Mdluli.

As the family prepares to lay the children to rest, the nation is encouraged to keep them in their thoughts and prayers, offering strength and solidarity in a time of sorrow.

Meanwhile, Hhukwini Member of Parliament Alec Lushaba has expressed gratitude to government, in particular, the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for the much needed support during this difficult time.

He stressed that preparing for the untimely death of the children has been hard for the family and this much needed support is appreciated and thank Government for her quick response.

“Death for any family is tough and the DPM Thuli Dladla is truly touching lives of needy Emaswati in all respects,be it food, housing or other social needs. As Parliament we appreciate the work she is doing and this surely demonstrates that she takes to heart the Nkwe mandate from the King to serve the nation with speed and respond where we greatly need assistance. We thank all those community members and companies who also landed support to the family flowing their tragic loss,”
