Young Heroes Imbita Donates E147456 to Mangweni Clinic

Africa-Press – Eswatini. The spirit of community care and inclusion was on full display as Young Heroes, in partnership with Imbita Women’s Finance Trust, donated medical equipment valued at E147,456.28 to Mangweni Clinic. The donation brought much needed relief to a facility that has long struggled without essential tools to serve its patients, including persons with disabilities.

The donation includes wheelchairs, a BP monitor, a stretcher bed, and a maternity bed designed to accommodate patients with special needs. The contribution was welcomed with open arms by clinic staff and community leaders during a vibrant handover ceremony.

Sister Nonhlanhla Mavuso from Mangweni Clinic welcomed the support, saying the donation addressed serious gaps in service delivery. “Before this donation, it was difficult to care properly for patients with mobility challenges, especially pregnant women with disabilities. We appreciate this very much,” she said.

Weighing in on the impact was Mkhosi Dlamini, the Health Administrator, who noted that the equipment would significantly enhance the experience of patients at the facility. He explained that the donated items would be properly maintained through the Ministry’s Biomed Unit, which is tasked with overseeing the upkeep of all medical equipment.

Speaking on behalf of Young Heroes, Executive Director Khulekani Magongo recognised the value of initiatives like this in improving services in underserved areas. He noted that the organisation was pleased to have delivered what was most needed in the communities and conveyed appreciation to the donors who continue to support Young Heroes’ mission of improving lives through inclusive development.

The event also drew attendance from notable stakeholders, including Sipho Dlamini from the Federation of Organisations of Disabled People in Swaziland (FODSWA), Mhlangatane MP Madala Mhlanga, and representatives from the Ministry of Health.

Through their continued partnership, Young Heroes and Imbita Women’s Finance Trust are driving real change by prioritising inclusive development—ensuring that no one, especially people living with disabilities, is left behind in accessing essential services.
