Africa-Press – Eswatini. Bucie’s Food Expo 2025 lived up to its promise and then some food lovers, creatives, and entrepreneurs gathered at Ursel Guest House in Fairview South on Saturday, 28 June 2025, for an unforgettable afternoon of flavour, music, and meaningful connection.
Now in its third edition, the expo themed “Love on a Plate” truly delivered a soulful celebration of Africa’s rich culinary heritage. With over 16 carefully curated dishes, including Bucie’s surprise signature creation, guests experienced a delicious journey that blended traditional Eswatini flavours with tastes from across the continent.
Reflecting on the event’s success, chef and founder Sibusisiwe “Bucie” Mthethwa shared her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the day memorable. “I am very grateful to each and every one,” she said. “Some were there from the first edition and we’re grateful they believed in us and allowed us to grow together.
For those who were attending for the first time, thank you for attending, and hopefully we have created an ongoing relationship.”
True to her words, the event was more than just a buffet, it was a platform where strangers became friends, and ideas were exchanged just as easily as recipes. From up-and-coming chefs to established entrepreneurs, the crowd was diverse, dynamic, and full of energy.
The entertainment line-up featuring the vibrant sounds of Mvila’s and Emagagu added rhythm and colour to the already buzzing afternoon. Conversations flowed, plates were cleared, and laughter echoed across the venue, a clear sign that “Love on a Plate” had found its mark.
