Africa-Press – Eswatini. Marwick Khumalo, the Lobamba Lomdzala Member of Parliament(MP) applauded Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini for being brave and face the Nation with an explanation after the dumping of dangerous criminals by the United States(US).
Well,I may not be sure of MP Khumalo’s approach but in this particular matter, I choose to subscribe to the sentiments of Attorney General(AG) Sifiso Khumalo who questioned how the agreement was signed without his involvement as the Principal Government Legal Advisor.
Perhaps it is important to clarify that, the AG is not speaking about him as a person but, the Office of the Attorney General as an institution established and regulated by the Constitution.
I may disagree with Sifiso Khumalo on other issues but, the sentiments of the AG are valid, we can’t have a Prime Minister who secretly signs agreements without consulting the Attorney General, whether you agree or disagree with the AG, he must be consulted on such issues.
The Lobamba Lomdzala MP praised the PM in Parliament merely for explaining the arrival of the dangerous criminals, what is it that Marwick Khumalo is praising the Prime Minister for?.
It is the duty of the Government to be transparent and subscribe to accountability being the fundamental values and principles of public administration, we can’t praise Russell Dlamini for holding a press conference merely to confirm that indeed the criminals have arrived in the country.
This is the same Prime Minister who was exposed for issuing diplomatic passports to Zimbabwean fugitives, he wanted to use those fugitives as his own Intelligence Unit and in the process, he disregarded advise from security experts including the National Commissioner of Police Vusi Manoma Masango.
Now, the same PM has entered into an agreement with the United States for the deportation of dangerous criminals who will live in our country, again without consulting the relevant institutions, sidelining the Office of the AG was serious blunder.
Russell Dlamini is not a legal expert but the Attorney General and all the lawyers within the Office of the AG studied law and well trained to read and understand an agreement before signing it, in this regard, before advising the eSwatini Government.
Personally, I fully understand the concerns raised by the Attorney General, we can’t allow one man to sign agreements on behalf of this country and then praise him merely for explaining his political stupidity and arrogance.
The concerns raised by the AG are valid, the Prime Minister undermined the Sovereignty of this country.
As for Lobamba Lomdzala MP Marwick Khumalo, he must stop applauding a fish merely for swimming in the sea, the Prime Minister was within his duties to explain to the Nation how this agreement was reached.
Marwick Khumalo is a very intelligent MP who has managed to survive political earthquakes in this country but, he must remember that, political stupidity can be transmitted to pollute his intellectual capacity.
Russell Dlamini is a very stupid Prime Minister who is messing-up this country and praising him would only mean you subscribing to his political stupidity.
