Africa-Press – Eswatini. Sebenele Mtsetfwa is proof that you don’t need decades of experience to make waves in business, just courage, creativity, and plenty of hustle.

Fresh from graduating at James n Josse Life Skills in June 2024, the 23-year-old wasted no time and launched her venture, Classic Shine Cleaning Solutions, three months later.

She started small with dishwashing liquid, experimented with pot shiner that didn’t quite take off, and then struck gold with her thick bleach line, a product she created after noticing rising prices and empty shelves of household cleaners in shops.

“I decided to make thick bleach because Miracle Mom was becoming expensive and sometimes unavailable in stores. I wanted to provide a reliable and affordable alternative,” she explained with a confident smile.

What sets Sebenele apart is her boldness to put her products in front of people. She has been a regular face at expos, from the Market Lounge Expo in 2024 to the Made in Eswatini Consumer Fair in 2025, winning new customers and building valuable networks. At the April fair, she even trained another young woman who wanted to enter the detergent business.

“We need to empower each other as women. I wanted to see her grow too,” she said.

Her hustle has also earned her space at big stages. In 2025, she proudly sponsored the Tourism Nkwe event, where she showcased her products alongside major brands. Today, her company is not only supplying households but is also in talks to supply institutions, a sign of the steady growth Classic Shine is enjoying.

Behind her journey is a strong support system. Sebenele credits her partner for being her biggest cheerleader, and she points to her mentor, entrepreneur Siphiwo Lushaba of Startup Grind Manzini, for helping her refine her business mindset.

Her marketing game is also sharp. From TikTok skits to Facebook posts, she is using social media to push her products, connect with clients, and expand her brand presence.

Looking ahead, Sebenele dreams of owning a factory that produces a full range of detergents and employs young people.

“It’s not just about profit for me,” she said. “It’s about building something bigger that inspires others and contributes to Eswatini’s economy.”

From mixing her first batch of soap in a bucket to commanding attention at national expos, Sebenele’s journey is a shining example of how determination, vision, and a little faith can turn small beginnings into big success.
