Africa-Press – Eswatini. Highlanders boss Ally Kgomongwe’s South African team Vaal Professionals have been relegated from the Gauteng ABC Motsepe League.

The team finished second from the bottom of the log with 12 points after 16 matches. The Tshwane based businessman bought the team at the beginning of the current season.Kgomongwe recently helped Mbabane Highlanders qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup after finishing the 2021/22 season as runners-up in the MTN Premier League log table.

The recent achievement ended the capital city giants 11-year absence in continental football as they will now represent the country in the interclub competitions, alongside League champions Royal Leopard, who will be campaigning in the CAF Champions League.

Kgomongwe previously owned Ally Tigers, which has produced some of the current Highlanders international players such as David ‘GP’ Molekuli, Tony ‘Ben 10’ Machacha and Kenneth Moloto, among others. Kgomongwe could not be reached after his cellphone rang unanswered when tried several times yesterday.
