Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Umbutfo Eswatini Defence Force (UEDF) has successfully intercepted a livestock theft attempt near the Kingdom’s boundary at Goboyane.

During routine patrols at approximately 14:20 hours, troops stopped a Honda Fit (registration ISD 543 CM) driven by two individuals, Gabsile Ntshangase and Bonginkosi Mkhabela, both aged 40 and from the Siphofaneni area. Upon inspection, the vehicle was found to be loaded with fourteen (14) suspected stolen goats.

As per procedure, the suspects were immediately handed over to the relevant law enforcement authorities for further investigation.

Lieutenant Tengetile Khumalo, the UEDF Public Affairs Officer, reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to protecting the Kingdom’s territorial integrity and curbing cross-border criminal activities.

“The UEDF continues to strongly caution against such criminal acts and commends the men and women who remain steadfast in their duty to safeguard our nation’s borders,” she stated.

This successful operation once again highlights the dedication and efficiency of the UEDF troops in maintaining peace and security across Eswatini’s frontiers.
