Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Ministry of Education and Training, led by Honourable Owen Nxumalo, officially released the 2025 Junior Certificate (JC) examination results on Tuesday at the Ministry’s conference room in Mbabane.

The results offer a detailed picture of academic performance across Eswatini’s four regions.

Manzini emerged as the top-performing region with an impressive pass rate of 85.23%, reflecting strong preparation and dedication from both students and educators. Hhohho followed with a pass rate of 81.93%, demonstrating consistent performance and continued focus on academic excellence. Lubombo recorded a pass rate of 79.82%, while Shiselweni registered 79.08%, the lowest among the regions. Despite these variations, the results show that a significant number of students across the country successfully met the JC standards.

Speaking at the announcement, Minister Nxumalo highlighted the importance of these results in shaping future educational strategies. He urged schools and regional education offices to carefully review performance trends, address challenges, and implement interventions that support improved student outcomes.

“The 2025 JC results provide critical insights into our education system,” Minister Nxumalo said. “They show where we are succeeding and where more targeted support is needed to ensure every learner can achieve their potential.”

The results underscore the need for continued investment and focused support in Lubombo and Shiselweni, while Manzini and Hhohho maintain strong academic performance. The Ministry remains committed to strengthening education across all regions, ensuring that every student in Eswatini has the opportunity to excel.
