Africa-Press – Eswatini. Excitement has hit Limkokwing University after Classic Creative donated a championship trophy ahead of the Diski Tournament, which has attracted 10 teams, each contributing an E150 joining fee.
The tournament brings together students in a football competition aimed at promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive youth engagement through sport.
The participating teams have shown strong determination as they battle through knockout fixtures to reach the final stage.
Results from the matches have produced thrilling encounters across the competition. ITR All Stars FC defeated Facata FC 5–4 on penalties after a 1–1 draw, Bachelors FC edged IT22A 1–0, Bazozwa FC progressed 4–2 on penalties after a goalless draw against Sicwangulane FC, Bagadli FC secured a 3–0 win over BIT 12D, while BM Loshayanako FC beat IT22F 2–0.
Classic Creative donated the trophy to support student sport and encourage young people to take part in positive recreational activities that promote unity, discipline, and talent development within the university community.
The final will feature ITR All Stars FC, Bachelors FC, Bazozwa FC, Bagadli FC, and BM Loshayanako FC, while one team will remain on standby due to the tournament structure involving 10 participating teams.
Students who attended the matches said the tournament has created excitement on campus and provided a platform for young footballers to showcase their talent while strengthening unity across different academic programmes.
The final is expected to attract strong support as teams prepare for a thrilling showdown and the chance to lift the donated trophy next Friday at Sidvwashini Sports Ground.
