Africa-Press – Eswatini. His Majesty King Mswati III says anything is possible for those who dream. The King spoke the inspirational words on April 26, 2026 before he officially opened the International Convention Centre (ICC) at Ezulwini. He was reflecting on how he was able to eventually pull off a project that seemed impossible at first and looked as ‘insane’ to many people to even think to attempt.
His Majesty the King noted that he has learnt from world news that astronauts have made history by reaching the furthest northern part of the moon. This is a story the King found to be inspiring and only people of it’s calibre could achieve completion of a infrastructural project such as that of the ICC.
It has been recently reported that the Artemis II astronauts have safely returned to Earth after a “textbook touchdown”, bringing their historic 10-day mission to a close. The crew splashed down in the Pacific Ocean at 00:07 GMT (20:07 EDT), with commander Reid Wiseman confirming his team was healthy.
“This is the start of a new era of human space exploration,” Nasa said, after the crew’s return. The four astronauts are “happy and healthy”, an official for the space agency said at a news conference.
The Artemis II crew successfully re-entered the atmosphere after a routine but nerve-wracking six-minute communications blackout.
On 6 April, the spacecraft reached its maximum distance from Earth – 406,771km (252,756 miles) – during the lunar flyby, breaking the previous record for the furthest humans have ever travelled into space. From a dramatic lift-off to a “textbook touchdown”, it’s been the trip of a lifetime for Artemis II’s four-person crew.
Commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover and mission specialists Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen are the first people to travel to the Moon in more than half a century.
His Majesty the King touched on this historic moment experienced by the world as he inspired the nation to strive to achieve what was extra-ordinary and never settle for less.
