Africa-Press – Eswatini. Linda Dlamini, the Eswatini Competition Commission(ECC) Consumer Protection Manager has been employed by the Anti Corruption Commission(ACC) as a Legal Advisor through alleged corrupt means.

Dlamini’s employment was allegedly facilitated by his close friend ACC Commissioner Maphevu Mkhatjwa without a fair recruitment process, he once worked for the ACC as an investigator before joining the Eswatini Competition Commission.

The new Legal Advisor who will earn over thirty-five thousand Rands(R35,000.00) public funds, came-in after the then ACC Commissioner Dan Dlamini successfully approached the Civil Service Commission(CSC) seeking permission to employ a Legal Advisor who will analyse cases and legally advise investigators.

But the former ACC Commissioner subsequently left the law enforcement institution before concluding the employment the Legal Advisor, a most senior position within the ACC.

Jabu Phakathi, the ACC Spokesperson declined to comment when asked about the employment of the Legal Advisor without a fair recruitment process.

Corruption is allegedly escalating within the ACC and, apart from the employment of staff through corrupt means and in complete disregard of Government procedures, the law enforcement institutions stands accused of being captured by Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini who “uses public funds to bribe investigators and then unleash them to target his political enemies”.
