A warning of heavy rainfall has been issued by the South African Weather Services (SAWS) as there will be heavy rainfall and cold conditions in the next few days. This, will lead to flooding in that country. The cold weather will be due to another strong cold front. Snowfall is also expected over the Mpumalanga Highveld. Forecaster Sidney Lukhele stated that a passage of the strong cold front has been predicted and behind it there is a cut-off-low. A cut-off-low produces severe weather conditions.
Lukhele said the cold front was expected on Thursday, adding that occasional drizzle and fog at places was expected. Otherwise it will be cloudy and cold, mainly in the Highveld. However, the weather is expected to improve over the weekend. According to Eswatini Meteorological Service, today it will be sunny and mild but warm to hot in the Lowveld. Tomorrow, it will be sunny and mild but warm to hot in the Lowveld. On Wednesday, it will be sunny and warm to hot in the Lowveld, becoming partly cloudy.
