Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Entrepreneur of the Year awards have made a comeback and applications to the awards have been declared open.
This was declared by SEDCO’s CEO, Khethiwe Mhlanga stating that applications for the competition are now open to all MSMEs across the country.
SEDCO is the acronym for Small Enterprises Development Company.
Similar to previous years, winners of this competition will walk away with cash prizes amounting to about E250 and awarded a van which is sponsored by FNB Eswatini.
The EYA awards have been held annually since 2002 to encourage and promote an entrepreneurial spirit and competitiveness among MSMEs in Eswatini.
This year’s categories include Youth Entrepreneur of the year, Female Entrepreneur of the year, Most Innovative, Most Techno Savvy, Handicraft, Street Vendor, Merchandiser, People living with Disability and Agribusiness, among others.
