Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Athletics Eswatini (AE) brought smile to over 800 pupils from Lobamba National Primary.
This was during the celebrations of the ‘World Kids Athletics Day’ with AE collaborating with the school to celebrate the day that is celebrated world-wide. The kids had an opportunity of engaging in athletics different events.
The day was celebrated on Wednesday (May 7, 2025) at the school premises with AE President Zakhele Dlamini present to witness and join the kids in celebration the day. This was also part of grassroots development and youth empowerment.
The kids were engaged in events including fun baton relay races, jumping and throwing games, activity zones and hydration stations, photo and video moments shared globally by World Athletics.
This celebration was dedicated to children aged 4–14 years and it was promoting teamwork, movement, and fun in the spirit of global unity.
“We were honoured to have the President of Athletics Eswatini, Zakhele Dlamini, who graces the event with his presence and support, a true sign of commitment to grassroots development and youth empowerment through sport.
With 800+ energetic kids, the celebration brought the theme “Passing the Baton – Connecting Kids around the World” to life through fun relays, jumping and throwing games, and teamwork.
