Africa-Press – Eswatini. Athletics Eswatini (AE) has officially introduced Mr. Mathokoza Dlamini as its new Chief Operationas Officer (COO), following a comprehensive recruitment process aimed at strengthening the federation’s administrative and strategic operations.
The announcement was made during a media briefing held at Sigwaca House yesterday, where the AE President began by extending his appreciation to members of the press for their consistent support in covering the federation’s initiatives and developments.
During the briefing, the President also addressed the progress of the AE Odyssey a flagship project designed to document and preserve the federation’s rich history. He revealed that the committee leading the initiative, through its Chairperson, had requested an additional month to complete the assignment, extending the original three-month timeline previously granted.
Highlighting the transparency and diligence of the recruitment process, the President confirmed that the selection of the new COO was conducted with the guidance of a professional consulting team, tasked with identifying the most qualified candidate for the role.
Mr. Dlamini, who holds a National Diploma in Sports Management from the University of Johannesburg, expressed deep gratitude to the AE Executive Committee for the opportunity to serve. In his remarks, he expressed gratitude to the AE Executive for entrusting him with this role, promising to work in alignment with the federation’s strategy and vision.
The appointment of Mr. Dlamini marks a significant step in AE’s ongoing efforts to professionalise and expand its operational capacity, as the federation continues to prepare for key local and international engagements.
