Africa-Press – Eswatini. For two days this week, the usual bustle of government offices was replaced by the quiet, mist-covered peaks of Sibebe Resort.

From December 15 to 16, 2025, the Kingdom of Eswatini’s Cabinet of Ministers stepped away from their desks to focus on something often overlooked in the high-pressure world of politics: the human connection.

Building a Foundation of Trust

Since taking office in November 2023, this was the first time the team had gathered for a dedicated retreat. Under the banner of “One Nation, One Team,” the retreat wasn’t just about policy, it was about people. Ministers spent their time:

Reflecting Honestly: Sharing their collective journey and addressing differences in a constructive, open environment.

Growing Personally: Exploring “personal mastery” and emotional intelligence to better serve the public.

Strengthening Ties: Engaging in team-based activities designed to build trust and improve communication.

A Renewed Promise to the People

The goal of this historic gathering was to move beyond individual portfolios and emerge as a single, cohesive unit. By focusing on conflict management and systems alignment, the Ministers worked to ensure that the government operates as one well-oiled machine.

As the retreat concluded, the atmosphere was one of renewed energy. The Ministers emerged with a reaffirmed oath: to serve with integrity, loyalty, and professionalism.

“At the heart of every decision and action remain the people of Eswatini and Their Majesties.”

This retreat marks a shift toward a more people-centered leadership. By investing in their unity today, the Cabinet is laying the groundwork for a more prosperous and united Kingdom tomorrow.
