Africa-Press – Eswatini. Chief Ndlaluhlaza Ndwandwe is currently the Acting Prime Minister as PM Russell Mmiso Dlamini is out of the country representing His Majesty King Mswati III at the 38th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The Minister of Public Works and Transport has taken charge to ensure seamless leadership and uninterrupted government operations.

PM Russell is attending the Summit on behalf of His Majesty, participating in high-level engagements where African leaders are shaping the continent’s development agenda. His presence reinforces Eswatini’s active role in strengthening regional cooperation and advancing Africa’s shared priorities.

The PM is officially expected back in Eswatini on Friday. However, unconfirmed reports suggest that he may return as early as tomorrow, depending on the progress of engagements in Ethiopia. His potential early arrival would allow him to resume national duties sooner than initially anticipated.

Meanwhile, Acting PM Ndwandwe continues to guide the nation’s programmes with confidence, especially key infrastructure and service delivery initiatives that form the backbone of government operations. His steady leadership ensures that momentum remains uninterrupted.

Supporting the executive command is Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development Sikhumbuzo Dlamini, who is serving as Acting Deputy Prime Minister. His role ensures ongoing coordination with communities and regional structures across the country.

The temporary leadership arrangements reflect the strength and stability of Eswatini’s governance framework, ensuring continued progress at home while the nation remains actively represented on the continental stage.
