Africa-Press – Eswatini. Vusi Masango, the National Commissioner of Police has allegedly summoned the Secretary General of the Royal Eswatini Police Staff Association(REPOSA) Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo to a disciplinary hearing, with an alleged intention to prevent her from attending the upcoming Green Pastures Savings and Cooperative elections where she stands a chance to be elected as Treasurer.

It has been disclosed that, last week the National Commissioner summoned Khumalo for a meeting at the Police Headquarters in Mbabane but, Sergeant Khumalo who was previously abducted and heavily assaulted by police agents of the National Commissioner, did not attend the meeting citing security concerns.

Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati declined to comment about these allegations.

But police sources told this publication that, “the National Commissioner is allegedly afraid that, Khumalo might win the elections” and protect the millions for cops at Green Pastures Savings and Cooperatives as the Treasurer.

“It’s a strategy to prevent her from participating in the elections because they are afraid that, with Dumsile Khumalo as the Treasurer, they won’t be able to loot our money”, said a junior cop.

Reached for comments, Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo confirmed that, the National Commissioner summoned her for a disciplinary hearing on the day of the elections-Wednesday.

“But I can assure all junior police officers that, if elected I will protect their savings. Kutawuba bete litiya la-Commander”, she said.

In the charges, the National Commissioner is accusing Sergeant Khumalo of holding Police Union meetings in complete defiance of orders from the Executive Command stopping those meetings.
