Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini allegedly humiliated Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) Minister Savannah Maziya inside Parliament on Wednesday afternoon by casually telling her that “she has been fired”, triggering tension within the House after Members of Parliament (MPs) questioned why the PM humiliated the Minister.
The PM who was inside his Parliament Office, instructed his bodyguard after the Parliament proceedings around 3pm to urgently summon the Information Minister who after the meeting, told some MPs who were next to the PM’s Office that, the Prime Minister “has just told her that she has been” fired.
“He said “I can no-longer work with you, therefore you are fired”, said the Information Minister when speaking to the MPs, a few seconds after coming-out of the PM’s Office.
The Prime Minister has been bullying the ICT Minister for sometime now but it remains to be seen if he will announce a Cabinet reshuffle and formally dismiss Maziya.
