Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini football has entered a historic phase following MTN Eswatini’s unveiling of a record-breaking E22.5 million sponsorship for the MTN Premier League.
The announcement was made today by MTN CEO Wandile Mtshali during a vibrant ceremony at MTN Golf Park in Ezulwini, which also marked the official launch of the 2025/26 season and the celebration of MTN’s 24-year partnership renewal with local football.
This latest package, spread across the next three years, is MTN’s largest ever investment in the country’s flagship football competition. It represents a huge leap from last season’s E6.5 million commitment, highlighting the company’s renewed determination to strengthen the development and sustainability of Eswatini football.
Mtshali stressed that MTN’s relationship with the sport has always been deeper than sponsorship. “This is not just a sponsrship, it is also a relationship built with trust, purpose abd the love of the game for Emaswati in general.” Said Mnsthali.
