Africa-Press – Eswatini. Madlangemphisi came alive this week as the Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) hosted a vibrant roadshow at the town’s bus rank, marking another milestone in the countdown to the highly anticipated event scheduled for 29 August to 8 September.
The roadshow, attended by key partners including Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Service, KIA, Eswatini TV, 8Bet, Buy Eswatini, Wesbank and FNB, sought to spread awareness about the Trade Fair while inviting communities to join the celebration of business, culture, and sport.
Crowds gathered to hear about the exciting programme awaiting visitors, including football matches, cultural showcases, and various sporting codes. The event also highlighted the EITF mobile app, which enables users to participate in the ‘Win a Car’ competition, register for Fit Friday, keep track of daily events, and compete in the Stand Excellence contest.
Adding colour and cheer, EITF mascots Jaha and Ngabisa delighted the Madlangampisi community with their warm greetings and spirited energy.
Siphesihle Nkhabindze, Official Spokesperson of the EITF, stressed the significance of the outreach:
“As a national event, the Trade Fair is a business spectacle for people all around the country to attend and benefit from. By visiting the various regions of Eswatini, we are encouraging individuals from all corners of the country to be part of the event. Hosting events such as the Trade Fair strengthens our mandate to enhance trade and investment opportunities for emaSwati.”
In another development strengthening Eswatini’s trade ambitions, the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) officially launched the Export Guide 2025—a comprehensive tool designed to help local businesses navigate the complexities of international trade.
The guide outlines 10 practical steps for exporting, from assessing readiness to securing customs clearance, and highlights Eswatini’s access to lucrative markets through regional and global trade agreements such as SACU, SADC, COMESA, AfCFTA, AGOA, and EU Economic Partnership Agreements. Together, these open doors to a consumer base exceeding 2 billion people.
“Exporting can unlock immense growth opportunities for local enterprises,” said Thandeka Dlamini, EIPA’s Manager of External Trade Promotion. “With the Export Guide 2025, we aim to empower Eswatini businesses—large and small—to compete and succeed in global markets.”
