Africa-Press – Eswatini. In this country, it is becoming a norm to award tenders to companies that will provide services of poor quality and then, cash millions of public funds.
King Mswati was embarrassed on Saturday by a poor sound system and there’s a possibility that a company was paid to prepare for the University of Eswatini(UNESWA) Graduation Ceremony and ensure that, everyone goes according to plan including the sound system.
The UNESWA administration must investigate the circumstances surrounding the glitch and the report must be made public because public funds were used to fund the event.
The person who embarrassed the King must be held accountable particularly if there’s money involved, we are tired of poor services with public funds disappearing.
A Head of State was addressing UNESWA graduates and the Nation but, the sound system experienced glitches, it’s possible that the service provider or the Events Management Company will receive the whole payment despite this huge embarrassment.
