Africa-Press – Eswatini. As the 93rd INTERPOL General Assembly convenes in Marrakesh from 24–27 November 2025, the Kingdom of Eswatini has reiterated its firm belief that global security is strongest when all committed and capable partners are included.
In a statement issued by Eswatini Government, Eswatini highlighted its long-standing cooperation with Taiwan, which spans mutual legal assistance, prisoner transfers, and police training and capacity-building programmes. These initiatives, according to Eswatini officials, have substantially strengthened public safety within the Kingdom and demonstrate Taiwan’s commitment, professionalism, and expertise in international policing.
“Taiwan has consistently contributed to the enhancement of public safety and law enforcement,” the statement noted. “Its exclusion from INTERPOL limits the effectiveness of the global security network and deprives the international community of a capable and dedicated partner.”
Eswatini stressed that effective global policing depends on inclusivity and the meaningful participation of all partners who can contribute to tackling transnational crime, cybercrime, human trafficking, and other serious threats. By advocating for Taiwan’s involvement, Eswatini positions itself as a proponent of pragmatic and cooperative approaches to international security challenges.
