Africa-Press – Eswatini. A wave of pride and unity swept across Eswatini as the nation gracefully concluded its chapter of the King’s Baton Relay with a symbolic handover to malawi.

The journey’s final stride led to the Office of the Prime Minister, where the Right Honourable Russell Mmiso Dlamini warmly received the delegation before officially signing off Eswatini’s leg of the historic relay.

For six vibrant days, the Baton travelled across the Kingdom, weaving together stories of culture, sport, and community spirit. From the warm welcome dinner at the British High Commissioner’s residence to the energetic engagements with schools, athletes, and cultural groups, every stop celebrated Eswatini’s identity and its place in the global Commonwealth family.

Mkhulisi Dlamini, Communications and Marketing Officer of the Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA), expressed heartfelt gratitude:

“We are deeply honoured to have hosted the Commonwealth King’s Baton Relay. It has been a memorable journey that showcased Eswatini’s rich heritage and unity, while reflecting the Commonwealth’s spirit of friendship, shared values, and sport. The remarkable support from our partners, communities, and leaders made this relay a resounding success.”
