The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, led by Minister Apollo Maphalala (MP), marked a significant achievement in Eswatini’s property sector with the official recognition and certification of the country’s first locally trained Sectional Title Practitioners. The event, held today, celebrated the success of Mr. Lindelihle G. Nhlabatsi and Ms. Linda Lesolle, who join three other practitioners previously trained in South Africa and gazetted under Legal Notice No. 187 of 2024.
Minister Maphalala praised the work of the Sectional Titles Examinations Committee, highlighting the leadership of Mr. Richard Perry. The Minister announced that Eswatini now has its own certified professionals, a result of the committee’s dedicated work and a rigorous examination process. “On behalf of the Eswatini Government, we wish to congratulate our two Sectional Title Practitioners who had to go through the rigorous Examination exercise,” said Minister Maphalala.
The Minister also recognized the crucial support of key professionals who made the certification possible. He specifically thanked Surveyor General, Mr. Albert Mhlanga, for his role as Examiner in marking the papers. Gratitude was also extended to Professor Jennifer Whittal from the University of Cape Town, who served as the Moderator for the examination.

This development is expected to boost Eswatini’s real estate sector and provide new opportunities for property development.
