Africa-Press – Eswatini. Ncamiso Ngcamphalala, the former President of the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) Swaziland has fled to the neighboring South Africa after a fallout with the current ruling Tinkhundla undemocratic system of Governance.
Ngcamphalala was working as an alleged spy for the regime and was subsequently given a job to do layouts for an online insulting platform whose alleged editor “is Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo”.
The two(2) were insulting public figures including King’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane,Member of Parliament(MP) Marwick Khumalo with the recent victim of the insults being convicted MP Bacede Mabuza.
But recently, Nxumalo with the help of Ngcamphalala who was doing the layout, allegedly dragged the name of the King to the private affairs of the convicted MP, urging Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza to apologize to the King while threatening that, failure to do so,will result to the pro-democracy MP losing all his wives.
It is alleged that, the statement by the Government Spokesperson who legitimated the insulting platform with the State Coat of Arms, resulted to members of the public who are followers of this widely read online publication concluding that, the King might have played a role in arresting the convicted pro-democracy MP.
On or around December 2023, Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo while being questioned by editor Zweli Martin Dlamini ‘mistakenly’ confirmed that,he was working with Ngcamphalala.
“I was talking to Nxumalo questioning him about misleading information he had published about MP Marwick Khumalo suggesting that, the MP had travelled to China to plot a political unrest when in fact Khumalo was in eSwatini.Luckily,we were using a voice note to communicate with Alpheous and the evidence is still there”, said the editor.
In the audio,Nxumalo is heard telling editor Zweli Martin Dlamini that,it was Ngcamphalala who published the misleading information making serious allegations against the MP.
“I don’t know what happened because Ngcamphalala called me and I told him that I am only aware of Barnes,Mlungisi,Ngomyayona and Gideon who went to China not Marwick”, said the Government Spokesperson who is editing the online platform that “is only focusing on insulting and publishing misleading information about public figures particularly those hated by Alpheous and his Cabinet clique”.
The audio or communication between the editor of this publication and Nxumalo confirmed that, the Government Spokesperson was working with Ngcamphalala who, at the time was pretending to be an activist while supporting Tinkhundla system on the other hand.
But information gathered suggests that,Ngcamphalala left the country on Saturday(29th June 2024) morning and when searched at the informal crossing,he allegedly told officials along the Eswatini-South Africa boarder that,he didn’t want to be known that,he was crossing to SA.
The sources within the informal crossing immediately informed the editor of this publication Zweli Martin Dlamini that, Ngcamphalala was crossing to South Africa.
As a result, his personal social media page was then monitored and indeed,it was confirmed that, the alleged Tinkhundla spy “is in South Africa”.
Worth-noting,the alleged Tinkhundla spy was carrying a camping tent and suitcases,he was with his son.
But it is still not clear why Ngcamphalala fled the country, however, as reported by this publication earlier on Sunday, “there’s a fallout between the former political activist and loyalists of the system who recruited him to be a State spy”.
Ngcamphalala he declined to comment about the matter.
On another note, Government created various misleading online platforms.
Ngcamphalala was focusing on the layout to legitimate insults while Government Spokesperson Alpheous Nxumalo is the editor, using the State Coat of Arms to legitimize the platform to eyes of unsuspecting members of the public.
But after the fallout,Nxumalo allegedly dumped the insulting platform and rushed to write for Eswatini Positive News,an online publication that is run by professional journalists who worked for the Times and Observer, Eswatini Positive News “is focusing on developmental journalism” without insulting public figures.
Alpheous Nxumalo also declined to comment about the matter.
But before being dumped,Ngcamphalala was funded by the State through the Youth Fund to establish a car wash at Ezulwini.
But the car wash subsequently collapsed after Ngcamphalala defrauded the Water Services Corporation by illegally connecting pipes to divert water to his car wash allegedly, with intent to avoid paying a huge bill, the Water Services subsequently closed the water supply.
Despite the support,Ngcamphalala is also accused by the Tinkhundla system loyalists of failing to handle a highly sensitive information where Government was seeking to twist the assassination of human rights lawyer Thulani Maseko and frame pro-democracy leaders.
Nxumalo and Ngcamphalala after receiving information from the State Intelligence, allegedly pre-empted Government plans through the insulting platform, saying Government was about to apprehend the pro-democracy leaders in the case of Maseko and the whole plan became a failure after the false narrative was successfully defeated.
