Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Hhohho regional football championship is set to kick off in style, bringing together some of the best young football talents from across the region.

The championship which has been sponsored by Cabana for 14 years, aims to promote healthy competition among schools and also to foster a sense of responsibility and community among the young athletes. It also wants to celebrate and groom the talents from the young athletes and to mould them into being responsible citizens.

According to H.R.F.A chairman, Ntokozo Tsela, the league aims to celebrate the young athletes for their amazing talents. ” As an association we recognize and acknowledge the talents of our young footballers and we wish to help groom them into better athletes in the future.” Said Tsela

He also added that they does not only encourage them to grow in their career of being athletes but they also train them into better and responsible citizens of the country. “We also make sure that we do not allow them to be vulger and disrespectful. Anything that is of bad behavior we discourage that because we want our kids to be better citizens of the country.” He emphasized.

This event promises to be an exciting one, with teams from Lobamba which will host schools from Mdzimba and S’gangeni,Buhleni will host schools from Mhlangatane and Timphisini, Spiki will have schools from Ntfonjeni and Mbabane is expected to host schools from Nkaba, Maphalalelni, and Mbabane which will participate in the zonal league. The competition, which will feature some of the most promising young players in the region, is expected to be fierce, with teams vying for top honors.

According to the H.R.F.A organizers, the teams will be competing for top prizes, with the winners receiving a Cabana branded kit and cash prizes of E1,500 for position one, E1000 for position two, and E700 for position three. In a bid to encourage participation and teamwork, all teams that take part in the championship will receive a participation fee of E350.

The championship is expected to bring together teams from across the region, providing a platform for young players to showcase their skills and compete against the best. It is also expected to promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among the participants.
