Africa-Press – Eswatini. FNB Eswatini 19 November 2025 handed over E752 000 in sponsorships to partner organisations during a ceremony held at the bank’s Head Office, supporting programmes in education, child protection, environmental management and professional development.
The funding aims to strengthen national development through targeted investments in vulnerable communities and high-impact institutions.The bank announced that E575 000 was contributed by the FNB Eswatini Foundation, while E177 000 came directly from FNB Eswatini.
The largest allocation, E500 000 was awarded to SOS Children’s Village for the Child-Headed Households Project, which supports 180 orphaned and vulnerable children and provides food, hygiene packs and agricultural inputs to 45 child-headed families.
SOS National Director Andile Phindile Nhleko described the sponsorship as a “strategic alliance rooted in shared purpose” that will help transform the lives of children forced to lead households.
FNB Eswatini also allocated E65 000 to the Gogo Nde Care Centre for school fees, uniforms and stationery for 20 children, and E10 000 to the Kwakitsi Foundation for a Christmas luncheon benefiting 300 children.FNB Eswatini CEO Thokozani ‘TK’ Dlamini said the sponsorships reflect the bank’s strengthened commitment to “extending Help That Works” as it marks 30 years of operations in the country.
FNB Eswatini announced E97 000 in academic awards for outstanding students at the University of Eswatini (UNESWA). Four top performers from the Faculties of Commerce, Science and Engineering, and Social Sciences received laptops.
UNESWA Vice Chancellor Prof. Justice M. Thwala praised FNB for its long-standing support, saying the bank is “fueling national development” by investing in young leaders who will shape Eswatini’s future.
The Eswatini Environment Authority (EEA) received E50 000 for the 2025 Temvelo Awards, including sponsorship of the FNB Sustainable Manufacturing Industry Award, which promotes greener production methods.The EEA commended the Foundation for its leadership in environmental stewardship.
The Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) Eswatini Chapter received E30,000 to support the launch of its local chapter in early 2026. Chairperson Mlandvo Sikhondze said the funding is an investment in “institutional resilience” and will strengthen risk management capacity across the country.
Announcing the full sponsorship package, CEO Dlamini urged partners to uphold integrity and remain committed to supporting communities. “With these sponsorships, we are reaffirming our commitment to building a prosperous, safe and thriving Eswatini,” he said.
The bank emphasised that collaborative effort remains key to addressing national challenges and advancing sustainable development.
