Africa-Press – Eswatini. What’s laughter without comfort? What’s Gogo Eswatini without S’lwane, and vice-versa? The answer to these questions will be explored this Friday as the dynamic stand-up comedy duo, Gogo Eswatini and S’lwane, host the second edition of their annual comedy show, “Our Typa One Man Show.”
Set to take place at the Esibayeni Lodge’s Esangweni Auditorium, this year’s event promises not only to entertain but also to give back to the community in a significant way.
Curated to celebrate their growth in the comedy industry and the unwavering support from their followers, Gogo Eswatini & S’lwane are introducing a charitable twist to this year’s show.
A commendable 25 per cent of the event’s ticket sales will be donated to various community causes, reflecting the duo’s commitment to uplifting the lives of EmaSwati.
“Our work and our very existence as a brand are nothing without the love the community has given us over the past five years,” Gogo Eswatini remarked.
“Everything we set out to deliver, either on stage or on video, draws great inspiration from our people. What better way to show our appreciation than through this show and our contribution to bettering the lives of the next generation?
With this 25 per cent, we are extending our grateful and humbled hand to EmaSwati—siyabonga kakhulu maSwati and we hope this contribution changes the course of all the recipients’ lives.”
The charitable contributions will be broken down into five key themes, each aimed at addressing specific needs within the community.
First, 10 per cent of the 25 per cent will be allocated to support prospective students facing financial challenges with their application fees for tertiary education.
This initiative aims to assist students aspiring to enrol in any tertiary institution in Eswatini for the 2025/’26 academic year.
“We believe all Swati students deserve a fair chance at fulfilling their dreams and changing their family’s lives. This is our little contribution to that,” Gogo explained.
Next, 5 per cent will be dedicated to connecting tertiary students with mental health support. This could involve providing access to mental health professionals or transportation to the National Psychiatric Referral Hospital.

“We are fully aware of the many mental health challenges our brothers and sisters are going through, and with this gesture, we hope more lives will be saved and more futures secured,” S’lwane added.
Another 5 per cent of the funds will go towards assisting tertiary students with necessities such as sanitary pads, food, and partial rent support.
“Our prayer is for tertiary students to focus solely on their studies without the burden of basic needs. With this contribution, we hope to achieve that, bit by bit,” S’lwane stated.
In a timely gesture for the winter season, 2.5 per cent will be allocated to securing school shoes, jerseys, and blankets for children in need.
This initiative will be carried out in partnership with selected schools, which will help identify those most in need.
Lastly, the remaining 2.5 per cent will subsidize a career guidance and motivation program for high school students.
“With this gesture, we are saying: ‘Let us collectively secure a better future for Eswatini through better-guided schoolchildren.’
We aim to relieve schools of part of the stress that comes with securing career guidance services,” S’lwane elaborated.
“Our guiding ethos as a collective is very simple, boSwane: what is the point of our influence if we cannot leverage it to influence the direction of the next person’s life?
If we cannot use it to deliver happiness to all homes in Eswatini and beyond? To deliver hope and comfort to the most afflicted?” Gogo emphasized.
“Besides helping us raise the needed funds for this cause, this show seeks to help us fulfil this mandate. We hope the people of Eswatini will attend from all corners of the country and beyond to support us.
We promise it will be a night for the books! A sweetener to the deal? It’s a long weekend, and our venue comes with very affordable accommodation.”
Tickets for the “Our Typa One Man Show” are available online and at selected outlets across Eswatini, priced at E200.00 for general admission and E250.00 for VIP access.
Special rates are also available for tertiary students at E100.00 and pensioners at E150.00.
