Africa-Press – Eswatini. Colisile Maphanga, the Pigg’s Peak Central High School Headteacher told children to go home early on Friday morning saying she “wants to be alone and take selfie photos”.

As a result, Regional Education Office (REO) officials were rushing to the school at the time of compiling this report to assist the Headteacher travel to psychiatric centre.

The Headteacher was not immediately available for a comment but teacher’s told this publication that, “the school is currently in a state of confusion”.

Reached for comments, Lot Vilakati, the Secretary General of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) said the union was aware of the challenges at Pigg’s Peak Central High School.

“We can’t comment because it’s a sensitive issue but, we can confirm that the REO Office is working on the matter after we formally engaged the Ministry of Education,” said the SNAT Secretary General.

Efforts to reach Naniki Mnisi, the Principal Secretary (PS) in the Ministry of Education and Training, proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.

On another note, Colisile Maphanga is the same Headteacher who as reported, assaulted a teacher at Herefords High School, she was then transferred to Pigg’s Peak.
