Kabila'S Passport Links him to Eswatini Amid Treason Charges

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Eswatini appears to be one of the safe hiding places for His Excellency Joseph Kabila, the former President of the Democratic Republic of Congo(DRC).

Kabila who is facing arrest for treason in his DRC home country over alleged links with the M23 rebels, visited eSwatini on the 6th February 2025, he then left the country and came back on the 24th April 2025 and this, is according to information sourced from eSwatini Government Immigration system.

The Immigration records further suggest that, Kabila left the country on the 30th April 2025 after attending the King’s Birthday, Aljazeera and the British Broadcasting Corporation(BBC) reported that, he was welcomed by the rebels upon arrival at the eastern M23 rebels controlled DRC Goma city.

But King Mswati’s Spokesperson told that, Kabila was not hiding in eSwatini but, would occasionally visit the Kingdom as the King’s Guest.
