Africa-Press – Eswatini. His Majesty King Mswati III has departed the Kingdom of Eswatini for an official state visit to the Republic of Mozambique.

The King, accompanied by Inkhosikati LaMotsa, departed King Mswati III International Airport this afternoon at approximately 5:00 PM.

This state visit carries deep personal and diplomatic significance. Mozambique is not only a strategic neighbor and valued partner in regional development, but also holds a special place in the heart of the Eswatini Royal Family. It was in Mozambique that His Majesty’s daughter, Her Royal Highness Princess Sibahle, celebrated her traditional wedding last weekend, a joyful event that further strengthened the cultural and familial bonds between the two nations.

The visit is expected to bolster bilateral cooperation across key areas such as trade, infrastructure development, tourism, and cultural exchange. Discussions between His Majesty and Mozambican leadership are likely to reinforce longstanding ties and explore new avenues for mutual benefit in the Southern African region.

Following his engagements in Mozambique, the King will proceed to Turkmenistan, where he will attend the 3rd United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3). His Majesty is scheduled to deliver an address at the global forum, reaffirming Eswatini’s commitment to sustainable development and regional integration.

This international tour reflects Eswatini’s growing diplomatic presence and the continued leadership of His Majesty in advancing the Kingdom’s interests on the global stage.
