Africa-Press – Eswatini. King Mswati has applauded Shoprite Eswatini for creating jobs in the country and contributing to economic growth and development.
The King shared these sentiments when officially opening Shoprite Hlathikhulu on Monday, he was welcomed by prominent businesswoman Sylvia Mthethwa, the Shoprite Eswatini Director and shareholder.He further appreciated Mthethwa for being part of the Shoprite Group adding that, “it’s amazing to see emaSwati” climbing the international ladder in business.
“It’s time for emaSwati to shine and what I’ve seen here is commendable, Shoprite is creating jobs and contributing to economic growth and development,” he said.
On another note, businesswoman Sylvia Mthethwa told the King that Shoprite Group invested over R15million in establishing Shoprite Hlathikhulu, she then thanked the King for supporting Shoprite at the time when the giant retail outlet was struggling to secure the necessary Swazi Nation Land(SNL) documentation and penetrate the market in the rural areas.
Mthethwa presented a surprise birthday cake to the King on behalf of Shoprite Group.
