Africa-Press – Eswatini. King Mswati says the new Lutsango Holiday demonstrates eSwatini’s commitment towards gender equality principles and recognizing the role of women in society.
Addressing thousands of women at Hlane Royal Residence on Sunday evening, the King emphasized the importance of women empowerment and ensuring that, women receive the recognition they deserve.
“That’s why the Lutsango Holiday has been introduced in line with the International Women Day because here in eSwatini we don’t just talk about women empowerment but, we practically implement policies that promote women and their welfare,” said the King.
Eswatini gazetted the 10th March 2025 as the first Lutsango Holiday.
