Africa-Press – Eswatini. Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Bongani Nzima has identified the need to conduct football in a way that inspires confidence.

In his speech during the glittering MTN League awards ceremony at Royal Villas, last night, the minister stressed on the need to rise above pursuing self interests, petty politics and division that damage the integrity of the sport and drive away current and potential sponsors. “Games must be free of violence and corruption. “In the new season, let us aim to do things better,” said the minister.

The minister further challenged the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) and Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) to ensure that the administration of football was improved. Minister Nzima, who thanked MTN Eswatini for the glorious support of football for over 20 years, further called for everyone in football to strive for first world standards, a goal championed for the entire country by His Majesty King Mswati III.
