Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Lutfo Dlamini Foundation (LDF) is poised to positively impact entrepreneurship in Eswatini through a one-day intensive training programme scheduled for next week Friday.

Set to take place at the Phongolwane SDA Primary School Hall from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the training is expected to empower both aspiring and established entrepreneurs with practical skills and strategies essential for building, sustaining, and expanding successful businesses.

The Foundation’s founder and former Minister for Investments, Trade and Labour, Hon. Lutfo E. Dlamini, described the training not merely as a workshop, but as a life-changing experience designed for individuals ready to take control of their economic futures. He indicated that the initiative aimed to promote skills development, strategic thinking, and awareness of sector-specific opportunities, while nurturing a new wave of entrepreneurial leadership in the country.

Dlamini noted that the programme responds to the growing demand for entrepreneurship education, especially among youth and women in marginalized communities. He stressed that entrepreneurship had become a necessity in today’s economic climate, rather than a luxury.

“As a country, we must stop waiting for opportunities and start creating them,” he was quoted as saying. “This training is about equipping our people to become job creators, not just job seekers.”

He went on to reiterate the Foundation’s commitment to offering platforms that empower individuals to overcome economic barriers through self-driven enterprise and innovation. “Our mission is to unlock the potential within our communities. When we empower one entrepreneur, we strengthen a household, a community, and ultimately, the nation,” he said.

The training will feature a panel of expert speakers, including Professor Mudarisi, an academic and entrepreneurship strategist; Monica, a South African expert in sustainable agricultural ventures; and Lesi Nxumalo, a prominent entrepreneur with extensive experience in health marketing and agribusiness.

Dlamini explained that participants would explore a range of essential topics including how to generate viable business ideas, understand the legal procedures for registering a business, apply sector-specific marketing techniques in the health industry, and identify profitable opportunities in agribusiness—particularly in mushrooms, bananas, and vegetable farming.

Nxumalo, who has gained recognition across multiple entrepreneurial sectors, remarked that the event would offer participants more than just theoretical knowledge. She highlighted the importance of being in the presence of other visionaries, saying that such proximity could shift one’s mindset and open new horizons.

“What people often need is proximity to greatness—to see what is possible, to hear success stories, and to realize they, too, can achieve their dreams,” she said.

She added that her presentation would focus on the deeper purpose of entrepreneurship, drawing from her own journey to share strategies on proposal writing, securing funding, and overcoming the fear of failure. Nxumalo encouraged participants to adopt the mindset of ‘failing forward’, emphasizing that setbacks should be viewed as stepping stones rather than stumbling blocks.

“We must break the stigma around failure to cultivate a bold generation of entrepreneurs,” she said.

Dlamini further noted that the training would serve as a networking platform, providing avenues for collaboration, mentorship, and market access. He urged interested individuals to register early due to limited space. Registrations can be secured by contacting Jabu Dlamini at +268 7633 4994.

The Lutfo Dlamini Foundation is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization committed to advancing sustainable development and economic empowerment. With a focus on youth and women, the Foundation supports micro and medium enterprises as a catalyst for long-term prosperity.

Under the leadership of Hon. Lutfo E. Dlamini, the Foundation continues to implement initiatives grounded in dignity, integrity, and innovation—turning potential into purpose and transforming dreams into reality.
