Africa-Press – Eswatini. Former Manzini Wanderers head coach Kinnah Phiri believes the management committee has been the major downfall for the hub giants.
Phiri said this during his interview with Eswatini Broadcasting and Information Services (EBIS 1) weekend review show hosted by Donatus Zwane.
The ‘Weslians’ are having a bad spell this season, which has seen them occupy the bottom of the table in the MTN Premier League log standings with five points after 11 matches.
“The team has been let down by the management committee over the years by failing to come up with a strategy to sustain the team. It’s time for the Wanderers family to rescue the team,” he said.

Phiri urged the team stakeholders to consider some of the team legends for Managerial positions.
“The team is blessed with capable individuals such as Michael ‘Scara’ Gama, William ‘Cool Cat’ Shongwe, who can run the team. I wish the team the best of luck in the campaign due to its rich history and heritage,” he said.
The team recently roped in legendary defender Jerry ‘Mbazo’ Gamedze as Operations director following the exit of former Managing Director Mlamuli Mabuza.
The Gcina Dlamini-led charges will take on defending champions Nsingizini Hotspurs in their next MTN Premier League encounter scheduled for Mavuso Sports Centre on Sunday.
Phiri had a stint with the crowd pullers in the 80’s and later assumed the hot coach position.
