Africa-Press – Eswatini. Savannah Maziya, the Minister of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) will make a Parliament Senate presentation on Thursday afternoon despite being causally fired by Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini.

When asked by this publication “to clarify if Savannah Maziya is still a Minister”, King Mswati’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane said, the PM does not have powers to dismiss a Cabinet Minister without the King’s approval, Simelane specifically said powers to relieve Minister Savannah of her duties vests in the King.

According to documents seen by this Swaziland News, the Information Minister will appear before Senate and present The Critical Infrastructure Protection Bill No. 16 of 2025.

Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini allegedly failed to control his emotions on Wednesday afternoon inside Parliament, he casually fired the Information Minister who had earlier opposed his Cabinet proposal seeking to commit Government to purchasing a private jet worth over R2billion for him.

The Information Minister warned the Prime Minister to stop elevating himself into the King’s status, Eswatini has about 70% of the population living below the poverty line and, the country is also facing a health crisis amid shortage of drugs in public hospitals.
