Minister Appoints TUCOSWA Leader to EEC Board

Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mduduzi Gina, the Secretary General of the Trade Union Congress of Swaziland(TUCOSWA) has been appointed as the new member of the Eswatini Electricity Company(EEC) Board of Directors.

Gina has been appointed by Cabinet through Natural Resources and Energy Minister Prince Lonkhokhela, he will work with King Mswati’s daughter Princess Sibahle and Chairman Patrick Myeni among other Board members.

Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Thursday morning, the new EEC Board member confirmed the appointment, he pledged to contribute to the country’s ambitions to establish sustainable energy projects so that emaSwati could have access to affordable electricity.

“As a country, we must generate our own electricity, Cabinet through the Minister gave me that mandate to contribute in ensuring that, the country has sustainable energy”, said the TUCOSWA Secretary General.

On another note, the TUCOSWA Secretary General holds a Diploma in Law and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Eswatini(UNESWA), he is also holding qualifications in Labour Law, Finance Management and Corporate Governance.

Mduduzi Gina is also the current Board Chairperson of the Eswatini National Provident Fund(ENPF), a State entity under the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.
