Africa-Press – Eswatini. Minister of Natural Resources and Energy, HRH Prince Lonkhokhela, paid a courtesy visit to the High Commissioner of India to Eswatini, Shri N. Ram Prasad, as part of continuing diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
The minister paid the courtesy visit on Wednesday, November 25, 2025. According to information from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy, the meeting follows His Royal Highness’s recent visit to India, where he attended the International Solar Alliance and undertook a benchmarking exercise within the e-mobility industry. During the courtesy call, the Minister provided a detailed briefing on the experiences and insights gained from the visit, particularly within the fields of renewable energy and sustainable transport.
HRH Prince Lonkhokhela highlighted India’s rapid advances in solar power generation, clean energy technologies and the expansion of electric transport systems, noting that these developments offer valuable lessons for Eswatini as it works to diversify its energy mix and strengthen energy security.
The High Commissioner welcomed the Minister’s feedback and reaffirmed India’s commitment to supporting Eswatini in the development of its energy sector. He commended the Kingdom’s interest in renewable energy solutions and emphasised the strong foundation of cooperation already shared by the two nations.
Both parties expressed optimism that the collaboration will open further opportunities for capacity building, investment, and technological exchange, particularly in areas that support sustainable development and economic resilience.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen bilateral relations and to pursue practical partnerships that advance clean energy and innovation in Eswatini.
