Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mlulami Dlamini from Magele is set to become the proud owner of a modern double-storey house with a balcony.
This is all thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Eswatini Contractors Association (ECA) and the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA).
This initiative highlights the commitment to improving living conditions in the community.
Project Approval and Design Presentation
The ECA presented the state-of-the-art design for Dlamini’s new home, which received official approval from Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla during a meeting held in the Boardroom. The design is tailored to reflect Dlamini’s preference for a structure similar to his original well-known double-storey house.
Construction Plans and Contributions
A seven-member delegation from ECA, led by Chair Rueben Msibi, announced that a professional constructor from Nhlangano has already been engaged and will commence construction next week. This project will be carried out under ECA’s supervision and funding.
To facilitate the construction, the Ministry of Works and Transport has successfully cleared the road leading to Dlamini’s home. ECA members have pledged to supply building materials, household items, and other essentials. Furthermore, contributions from the Deputy Prime Minister and Heads of Departments will help significantly reduce costs, with the remaining expenses covered by the government through the NDMA.
Community Involvement and Completion Timeline
Dlamini will be actively involved throughout the construction process, ensuring that his vision for the home is realised. The project is expected to reach completion by the end of June 2025, representing a significant advancement in housing development efforts within the community.
This initiative not only provides a new home for Dlamini but also reflects the commitment of local organisations and Government bodies to support community development and enhance living standards.
