Africa-Press – Eswatini. Mlungisi Makhanya,the President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) is attending the Party of European Socialists(PES) Congress in Amsterdam-Netherlands.
The PUDEMO President is being accompanied by Mbongiseni Shabangu, the Swaziland Democratic Party(SWADEPA) Secretary for International Affairs and the event is attended by progressive leaders from Europe countries, including Prime Ministers and party leaders.
Makhanya said he will utilize the platform to mobilize European support for the Swazi struggle, meeting with leaders of socialist and democratic parties.
PUDEMO has received invitations to visit several countries to explore party-to-party cooperation and solidarity.
The party’s efforts aim to counter the Tinkhundla regime’s international propaganda and garner support for their cause, PUDEMO plans to deploy leaders across continents to promote the struggle and solidarity with other national liberation movements.
Eswatini is an absolute Monarchy, political parties are banned while human rights defenders are arrested, tortured or even killed for demanding democracy.
