Africa-Press – Eswatini. The Hipnotik Festival has a number of activities lined for all hip hop lovers in the comeback event.
This year’s festival is themed ‘Fantasy World’.
This was disclosed by the festival’s Director Sakhile Nkambule at a media conference held at the MTN Golf Range on Tuesday afternoon. Nkambule shared that they decided on this theme in order for hip hop lovers to relate to the show. “It will also be easier for hip hop lovers to come up with unique and out of the world ideas for the theme,” he said.
Nkambule explained that they would give out awards for the best dressed male and female.
“After doing this for years and being exposed to international festivals, I learnt a lot of things that I want to put in place this year, this includes changes to the stage.
I would like to bring an exclusive international one and also change of the set-up of the show, that also includes our pre-party being on Friday at the MTN Golf Range,” Nkambule said.
The festival will see artists from countries such as Zambia, Mozambique, South Africa, Eswatini and more still to be revealed. He said the show will also be watched on social media platforms. Tickets are still available on various outlets and through their website.
“This year’s festival will also include sporting activities like golf, soccer and many others. These will feature top and known sports celebrities who include golfer Nobuhle Dlamini, South African soccer star Thembinkhosi Lorch and runner Caster Semenya,” he said.
Njobo Nkosi, who is part of the organising team shared that mixing music and sports would bring a different feel for entertainment. Nkosi is known for hosting tournaments in the sporting and will facilitate the sporting activities during the festival.
