Africa-Press – Eswatini. FESTIVAL-GOERS in Eswatini can now buy the MTN Bushfire 2022 tickets with MTN Mobile Money (MoMo), through WhatsApp.
Electronic tickets will be downloaded directly to mobile phones, so guests can Green Your Fire and save paper by using the e-ticket on their device to attend the festival.
Tickets will be emailed as a back-up.
This was announced by the festival’s Creative Director, Jiggs Thorne yesterday. He said the full festival Golden Lounge, Main Arena and Children’s tickets were still available through this facility.
Camping tickets, as well as festival tickets, can be purchased through the MTN Bushfire website www.bush-fire.com
Excitingly, a limited number of Phase 1 Main Arena tickets will still be available through MTN Mobile Money. Tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis, so festival-goers are encouraged to get them while stock lasts!
Additionally, the first 100 people to buy the MTN Bushfire tickets through Mobile Money will receive E100 pre-loaded on their cashless wristbands. Ticket holders will soon be able to preload their wristbands directly through MoMo.
“The MoMo payment facility is accessible via WhatsApp, and festival-goers will be able to buy tickets even if their MoMo number is different from their WhatsApp number. A maximum of five tickets per email address can be purchased. Please note that festivalgoers from Eswatini, aged 12 and above, will be required to provide a valid certificate of full vaccination against Covid-19 to attend the festival grounds; a ticket alone will not be enough to gain entry,” he said.

2. Open WhatsApp on your smartphone
3. Search for ‘MoMo Marketplace’
4. Text ‘hi’ and send
5. Reply with MTN Bushfire on the main menu
6. Follow the steps to purchasing tickets
7. Select to pay with MoMo
8. Approve on USSD prompt or MoMo App to enable payment
9. Receive your MTN Bushfire 2022 ticket
