Africa-Press – Eswatini. An inspection at the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium yesterday afternoon revealed that supporters have to endure the whole day watching the inaugural Eswatini Hospice at Home Charity Cup standing or they should bring their camp chairs. This comes after this publication noted with great concern that as of yesterday afternoon, the venue had no stands for supporters to sit on despite the tournament taking place tomorrow.
Impeccable sources from the meeting, which took place at the venue, shared with this publication that, by the look of things yesterday, it was going to be a big miracle for the stands to be available, come match day. “We were told in the meeting that the organisers of the tournament had no plan concerning bringing in the stands,” the source said. Another source mentioned that the old stands were removed from the stadium because they were not fit for supporters to sit on.

Meanwhile Hospice at Home Communications Officer Mlondi Gamedze said they were doing their best in making sure that the match venue would have stands by tomorrow. “We are currently in contact with the relevant people who will help us get the stands in the stadium,” he said. The tournament features four teams, including Mbabane Swallows and Manzini Wanderers, who will battle it out for the E100 000 grand cash prize. Moneni Pirates and Nsingizini Hotspurs complete the quartet. PLE Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kenneth Makhanya could not be reached for comment yesterday night.
