Africa-Press – Eswatini. Lobamba-born professional golfer Nobuhle Dlamini starts her European tour as she will tee-off in the Netherlands on Friday.
This will be during the €330,000 (About E6.7 million) Dutch Ladies Open to be played from Friday to Sunday (May 16th to 18th, 2025) at the Goyer Golf & Country Club in Eemnes which is hosting the event for the first time.
Dlamini goes to the Netherlands from South Korea where she played in the Aramco Korea Championship. Dlamini who is playing under the Ladies European Tour (LET) is expected to play in countries including France, Belgium, Czech Republic, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England, Switzerland and the United States of America (USA) if she enters for tournament yet to be played in these countries.
According to the ladieseuropeantour.com, the tournament will see a 54-hole stroke play competition with a 132-player field, representing 33 nationalities teeing it up.
Goyer Golf & Country Club were Dlamini will be playing alongside the 132 players is known for its American-style design, featuring fairways, bunkers, and rugged roughs amidst clear water features and expansive sand areas, offering a unique challenge for players.
This marks a significant milestone, as it’s not only the tournament’s debut at this venue but also the first time Goyer Golf & Country Club is hosting an international top-tier golf event. Previously, the tournament was held at Hilversumsche Golf Club in 2023 and 2024.
There are three former champions in the field with Thailand’s Trichat Cheenglab (2023), Scotland’s Kylie Henry (2014), and England’s Florentyna Parker (2010) all teeing it up.
