Africa-Press – Eswatini. Phoenix Insurance Company joined thousands of hikers at the 2025 edition of the Sibebe Survivor Charity Walk with a meaningful contribution, the donation of 550 portable, branded bags for participants.

Held on Sunday morning, the hike marked another impactful year of the Rotary Club of Mbuluzi-Mbabane’s flagship charity event, drawing corporate support and community spirit to Africa’s second-largest granite dome.

The donated bags, designed to help hikers carry essentials like bottled water and personal belongings, were distributed before the climb began.

Phoenix Insurance staff also laced up their boots and tackled the Sibebe terrain alongside fellow survivors.

“We were proud to participate in this year’s Sibebe Survivor Charity Walk, not only as hikers but as corporate citizens committed to giving back,” said Phoenix Insurance’s Tengetile Malindzisa.

“This event continues to be one of our flagship team-building and wellness activities, and we are thrilled to contribute in a way that supports the Rotary Club’s longstanding mission of community upliftment,” she added.

The company commended the spirit and perseverance of its team members, applauding the unity displayed during the challenging hike.

“This initiative is a shining example of what corporate social responsibility should look like, engaging, impactful, and rooted in service,” read a company statement.

The Sibebe Survivor walk, now in its 20th year, remains one of Eswatini’s most anticipated charity events, raising funds for education, health, and community development projects.
